PWAP Setup – Buffalo

Connect the Ethernet cable between the network socket on the wall in your room and the BLUE port on the back of the router.

DO NOT connect the black network ports to the wall. Doing so will damage the network causing your router to not work!

Plug in the power adaptor to the circular BLACK port on the back of the router

Connecting

  1. Look on the bottom of the router to find the "Key"
  2. If this is the first time you are connecting to the network through your router, you will be directed to the brasenose registration page where you will have to login with your Remote Access SSO (RASSO) Login click here for more information on username type
  3. If you have any devices that you prefer using an Ethernet cable rather than using a wireless connection, you can do this by plugging ANOTHER Ethernet cable between the yellow port at the back of the router and your device. These yellow ports act just like the ports on the wall.
  4. If you want to connect a wireless printer, please refer to your printer’s instruction manual. The WPS button referred to therein can be found next to the power socket at the back of the router.

Please note that if the Ethernet cable is not long enough to reach the socket from where you have plugged the power adapter in, the IT office can provide you a longer cable.
