Setting up Hardware Token Key
- Go to the Microsoft account page.
- You will be directed to your Sign in option Management page.
- On the security info page click +Add Method.
- In the drop-down menu, select Security Key.
- Click add.
- Choose USB device.
- You will be asked to prepare to insert your Hardware Token Key.
- After you have inserted your Hardware Token Key into a usb port on your comput, you will be prompted with a windows Security Box asking you to create a new Security Pin for the Hardware Token key. The new Pin is then used to authenticate your account any time you singn using your SSO account. The Pin needs to be a minimum of 6 digits.
- Once you have entered your new pin, you are then asked to touch the sensor on the Hardware token to confirm the setup, tap the sensor and click Allow and Next.
- Assign a name for your Hardware Token Security Key, the name will help distinguah the hardware token from other authentication methods.
- You have completed the setup, click Done.
